Synopsis
A young boy is growing up in a colonial sailing town. Raised on his father’s stories of pirates and adventures at sea, he lives for the day he can finally join him out on his ship. One stormy Christmas eve, amidst holiday tales of Santa Claus sailing from town to town, the small family is interrupted by an urgent call for help. Rushing out to help a fellow sailor in distress, his father never returns from the storm. Left to fend for himself on the streets of Newport, the boy stops believing in Christmas, until one day he will have to help a familiar-looking pirate to get back to his ship.
